Donna Frithsen joined the advancement division of Albright College in February 2023. Previously, she served on the leadership team at Purchase College in 2019 and as vice president of campaign strategy & operations at Drexel University since July 2017. Prior to that, she was vice president for development, medicine, and health affairs at Drexel University from 2015 through 2017 and associate vice president for advancement at Drexel College of Medicine from 2013 until 2015. Before arriving at Drexel College of Medicine, she was chief development officer at Bryn Mawr College from 2009 through 2013. She also led development offices at Drew University, the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Goucher College, University of Maryland, College Park Foundation, and the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine. A strong advocate of higher education, Donna has decades of experience, knowledge, and insights related to leading and implementing fundraising and major gifts efforts, overseeing corporate and foundation relations and planned giving campaigns, engaging alumni, and fostering strategic collaboration across departments and academic programs. She holds a BA from Boston College, an MA from Rowan University, and certificates in leadership development from Johns Hopkins and in higher education management from the Harvard Institute in Higher Education Management.

Brian Pinto, MPA, CFRE
Assistant Vice President of Major & Planned Giving

Brian Pinto returned to Albright College in June 2018 after having spent three years as the chief advancement officer of Humane Pennsylvania, where he generated $4 million in one year for new capital and mission-based services for animals in Berks County. In his current capacity as assistant vice president of major & planned giving, Brian leads the major and planned giving program and partners with his team of frontline fundraisers to build and strengthen relationships with leadership donors and prospects to advance Albright’s mission. Prior to that, he specialized in major and planned gifts for Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries as well as special event, corporate, and foundation management for aging network providers in South Florida. Brian received his B.A. in English from Rowan State College, his master’s degree in public administration from DeVry University, and has maintained his status as a Certified Fund Raising Executive since 2012.

Andy Baumbach
Senior Major Gifts Officer

Andy Baumbach joined the development team at Albright College in June 2013, where his responsibilities include identifying, building and strengthening relationships with parents, alumni and friends to advance Albright’s mission. In addition, he serves as the department’s liaison with athletic fundraising. Prior to arriving at Albright, Andy worked at various colleges and universities as a development professional, including Syracuse and Villanova Universities. He received his BS in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a M.Ed. from Temple University.

Matthew Heydt
Major Gifts Officer

Matthew Heydt calls the Lehigh Valley home and has worked in various nonprofit roles since 2008. Matt arrives at Albright following a stint as director of development at the Berks History Center in Reading, where he helped lead in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive Development department. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Berks Chapter. Along with his years of experience on the fundraising side, Matt has spent more than a decade in sports communications, which will serve well in his role at Albright as the liaison to the Athletics Department. He received his BA in journalism and mass communications from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
